By far the best personal account of a Special Forces operator I have read. Well written, honest and enthralling. A perfect blend of military detail and personal story.
If you know anything at all about soldiering, you will understand how difficult these missions were.I got scared reading in bed.It is one thing to operate in a group, and quite another when it gets down to one or two or three.Try it.Absolute top of the scale special forces work, unmatched anywhere else. These guys had basically zero logistic support when it got down to it, and they were fighting the whole world as well.Superbly told, and humbly told.......which is a characteristic of a man who could actually do this work, and come back alive time and again.No grandiose rah rah rah as is seen way too often in modern military books.
I enjoyed every bit of this book an so many lessons for life about not giving up an pursuing your dreams, one of the better books I have read
Incredible tales about a not so well known war against comunism un southern Africa.
This is a book that comes back to you when you are in bed late at night, reliving those acts of bravery by a young man that was apart from his physical powers, just another young man.
really interesting on how they did their training and missions that they went on. I enjoyed the book!!
