The best part of the book is the beginning where the author gives a passable and understandable description of alkaline diets. The recipes are basically the the same. She could have provided one for each section with variations. I was dismayed at the persistent, unnecessary use of added sugar. One had better like cashews. No mention of fermented foods and their role. No mention of microbiome and it's role in alkalinity. No mention of ratio of macros and how that affects alkalinity.

Great start if your are converting to Veganism. Easy to follow but too many items to swap out if you are following the Electric Alkaline Vegan plan. Sorry

It includes a 30 day meal plan, with recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks that are easy and fast to prepare, with a short list of simple, accessible ingredients. I'm moving to an alcaline life for 2017! I bought 2 other books about alcaline diet, and this seems to be the right one for me.

Overall very good advice regarding how the alkaline diet works, the only complaint I have is I wish the author would of provided a much larger list of foods. A lot of foods were missing. I found it very limiting. But as I said, I WOULD recommend this book, for a beginner, it really is the nuts and bolts of what an alkaline diet is. And I have been following it by the book for about 6 weeks now, and I DO have more energy, less acid during the day and I am noticing my clothes are getting loser. This will be a life time way of eating for me and I love this way of eating. Surprisingly I don't miss desserts or dairy or meat. I eat everything in smaller proportions too.

If you are looking to learn about PH, this is NOT the book! This is a Recipe book for foods!

Enjoyed the read. I think my acid reflux may be cured with this healthy way of living. I will be back to let you know.

love this book. very helpful as I have breast cancer and am on chemotherapy and want to increase my healthy life style and diet.
