I ordered this book, "Never Touch a Dragon," after receiving a different book from the same company for my little girl's first birthday. She loves these books. Each page has a texture of a different creature & a rhyme about that creature. The book is easy to read (and memorize after reading so much - ha). The first book that we received as a gift was such a nice gift, especially for children who have so many toys. I'll be getting books from this company as gifts to others going forward, after seeing how much my little one has enjoyed me reading this to her.Side note: She likes to take off one sock and rub her little foot on the creatures texture. Ha.
Sturdy board book. The quality of cardboard used to construct the book, and how its outer edges are rounded, are excellent .However, from experience after a while the adhesive that holds the textured silicone pieces to cardboard weakens and thus they can be pried off by little hands.
My baby is 10 months old and loves the textures in these books. We own all of them now. My husband's complaint is that "claws" and "doors" don't rhyme. And they included that same "rhyme" in the dinosaur variation.
My granddaughter has Autism and has texture issues and she loves these books. They are made to stand up to toddler abuse with heavy cardboard pages. I love that every page has a different rubberized texture for her to feel and the colorful illustrations hold her interest. The cute rhyming story with the different types and size of font is visually interesting to her as well. I highly recommend this book!! As well as the others in the series!
My baby loves this book. I ordered it after buying the never touch a monster book. The story isn’t as cute as the monster one and doesn’t rhyme as well but oh well. The book itself holds up well especially with my 7 month old chewing on it and pulling at it.
We absolutely love this book series. We also have Never Touch a Monster and Never Touch a Dinosaur. We pre-ordered the next book as well. My twin one year old boys love the textures. My 2 year old daughter loves the story line and the different textures. They are very thick and sturdy books. Such a great guy!
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 8 month old twins, but I couldn’t resist giving it to them early and it’s become an instant favorite! The colors are bright and cheery and I love the rhyming text! All of the touch and feel elements are silicone, but in a cool variety of textures. This is a very clever book!
Love this book and the others we have bought all but the new spider one! My little loves every page had the staple on the cover he will just hold the book so he can play with the cover. The only issue we have had is the spine art rips easily and some of the really creative fonts are hard to read, but since you will have to read them multiple times a day, its easily memorized lol
