If you struggle with civil procedure like I did, this book is AMAZING at breaking things down. Just buy it!!! Even if you don't necessarily struggle, it has great problems at the end of each chapter so you can practice each area and make sure you're getting it. The checklists at the end are also awesome for a last review to make sure you got things down to the right process.
It doesn't include the Bristol-Myers Squibb case so the personal jurisdiction road map is somewhat useless
I buy all the acing books for law classes and this one was the least helpful. It has decent outlines to help you, but does a bad job or explaining concepts. My friend had an older version of this that did a better job.
This isn’t bad, but it’s short on black letter lists. It’s explanatory more than anything else.
Good study guide for civil procedure introduction
Three weeks before my final, I was completely lost, and panicking about failing the class. A friend recommended this book to me. It actually made everything make sense! The checklists were especially helpful for walking through a problem. End result: I got a B!
This doesn't fully cover everything that we learned in my CivPro class, and needs to be updated with some newer cases. Otherwise, pretty good. It would be nice if they included a digital copy with the paper book.
I am about half way through this book. Also haven't taken the exam so I can't attest to the effectiveness. However, this book is great for learning the how to attack an essay after memorizing the "black letter" law.
