I've read a few similar books, and have taken alot of courses in concept art and so on. I've watched alot of lectures and have spoken to alot of people. this books for me doesn't really have too much information Thats new to me. but thats me. That being said I loved the book, it great very informative and I'd recommend it to any and/or anyone who's thinking about breaking into the this industry.It really is a complete book with alot of information and answers alot of questions. I wish this book was out sooner. especially when I was starting out. I wish it in deeper in some chapters. but again thats just me. I found some of the info to be generalized. but I understand who this book was for and for whom it was written. I also enjoyed the fact it didn't drag on. the Q&A kinda set up (each chapter was basically a question being answered) works great and in an oder that made sense.This is a very new very different industry, and like everything else in hollywood, a mystery to most people. working as a concept artist is a dream for many of us. but in the beginning theres alot of misconceptions and romanticism about the job. This book does a great job of answer all the questions you might have and what to except. and the guy writing it knows what he's talking about.Great book. even if your like me and be around for a while, get it you might something new and interesting. I found the book to be a great addition, and it helped me out alot.
Seriously a great book about how to pursuing a successful career in concept art but I hope you are not as lucky as me to receive it wet and wrinkled on its half.
It came damaged, that’s the reason I will give it 2 stars. Bad handling/delivering by Amazon...The book is really interesting and complete for someone that is starting in the world of concept art. A lot of questions are answered in it.
